Rakaposhi Basecamp Trek

Rakaposhi (7788 m)is ranked 27th highest on the Earth and the 12th highest in Pakistan is popular as one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. The peak is the part of Karakorum mountain range is situated in the Nagar Valley near Gilgit. Rakaposhi was first climbed in 1958 by Mike Banks and Tom Patey, members of a British-Pakistani expedition. Rakaposhi is notable for its exceptional rise over local terrain, almost unmatched in the world. The peak rises just beside the Karakorum Highway on the route through China via Hunza.

• You must have prior experience of trekking at a height of at least 2000 meters before embarking on this trek. • Get in the habit of walking for at least two hours a day before coming to this high mountain trek. • If you have heart, sugar or altitude sickness, then get advice from your doctor before join the group & keep proper medicine during the trek • You should have warm clothes, trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun block cream, rain paint coat, sleeping bag & tent sheet. • Tell your insurance company that gives you the coordinates of the corresponding on-site or nearby • Not to load up on clothing, unless provision to provide on-site and buy your arrival a local suit, shirt and baggy pants to be quite at home anywhere, even during the trek.
