Rakaposhi Basecamp Trek
Rakaposhi (7788 m)is ranked 27th highest on the Earth and the 12th highest in Pakistan is popular as one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. The peak is the part of Karakorum mountain range is situated in the Nagar Valley near Gilgit. Rakaposhi was first climbed in 1958 by Mike Banks and Tom Patey, members of a British-Pakistani expedition. Rakaposhi is notable for its exceptional rise over local terrain, almost unmatched in the world. The peak rises just beside the Karakorum Highway on the route through China via Hunza.
